Shipping Information
Shipping Schedule: We ship every Monday and Tuesday to ensure your plants don’t sit in a warehouse over the weekend. Plants paid for by 7 a.m. Friday will generally be dispatched the following Monday/Tuesday.
Flat Rate Shipping: We offer flat-rate shipping to the following states:
- QLD: $20.00
- NSW: $22.50
- Canberra $25
- VIC: $25.00
Note: We currently do not ship to NT, WA, SA, or TAS due to quarantine regulations. We do not export to other countries.
Arrival & Immediate Care
Your plants have traveled in a dark box and need a little TLC to wake up. Please follow these steps as soon as they arrive:
- Unpack Immediately: Carefully remove your plants from the box and shredded paper.
- Potting Up: Place them in a pot using a high-quality free-draining potting mix (never garden soil). The pot should be the smallest size the plant fits in (usually 140mm to 200mm) to prevent fungus and rot.
- Hydration: Water the plants in well with a seaweed/seasol solution. Continue to use a weak solution once a week until established.
- Light: Place in a spot with indirect light. Gradually increase light exposure over 7-10 days. Do not place directly into intense sunlight immediately.
Long Term Growing Advice
When in doubt, MULCH! Tropical plants like Gingers and Heliconias are top-feeders. Duplicating the rich, organic leaf mulch of a rainforest floor is the secret to success. Ensure your soil has excellent drainage—over-watering is the most common cause of plant failure.
