Scutellaria costaricana can flower all year round and is great for attracting nectar feeders to your garden. The yellow form being sold here packs a solid punch of rich yellow in garden beds. Generally grows a meter or less, can be cut back to maintain shape. In cooler climates this makes an excellent pot plant, it does not like wet feet but needs regular watering.

A near-constant bloomer that packs a rich punch of yellow into any garden bed, flowering almost all year round. Fantastic for attracting nectar feeders, and perfectly at home as a ground cover, garden filler, or splash of colour in a tropical cottage-style garden.
Compact growth to around a metre or less, easily cut back to maintain shape. Needs regular watering but hates wet feet — good drainage is key. In cooler climates it makes an excellent pot plant, letting you control moisture and move it under cover if needed

Where We Ship
We ship to QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC via Australia Post eParcel with tracking on every order. Flat rate shipping applies — see checkout for rates to your state. We are unable to ship to WA, SA, TAS or NT at this time.
When We Ship
Orders are picked and packed weekly. During extreme heat, we may hold your order for a cooler shipping window to protect your plants in transit — if this happens, we'll let you know via email. We don't ship into known heatwave conditions.
When Your Plants Arrive
Open your box as soon as possible. Even a few hours in a hot letterbox or on a doorstep can stress tropical plants. Give them a good drink of water and a light foliar spray of kelp solution, place them in a shaded spot for a day or two gradually increasing light to recover from transit, then plant out or pot up into their permanent position.
